The Good Orc

I learned the art of creative paraphrase in college – taking the end of Habakkuk and turning it into a comedic monologue. The story was mostly the same, but different in ways that made it unique and special. That’s the goal of the Parables of the Nine Realms. If you’re new around here, the Nine Realms is the fictitious land in which the fictitious tavern The Bard & Bible sits. As the Bard & Bible podcast has gone on we’ve only been adding new elements to the realms – so it was only fitting to take some well-known bible stories and see what they’d look like if they were set in the world I’ve built.

The Good Orc is presented by the incredible talents of the following folks:

Tony Pullen as the Narrator

Mike Perna as The Innkeeper

Joe Monzo as Rockjaw

Dave Atkins as Caleb Fairwinter

James Hatton as the human brigand

Madeline Turnipseed as the dwarf brigand

Tadd Mencer as the Ursol Brigand

Rachel Knight as the Private

Ashley Mowers as Lt. Commander Astrid Wodeborn

And Andy Gray as Fr Elwin Westbridge

  1. We just listened and it was very good…. had our attention the whole time! We could actually imagine what was going on in the story! Great voice inflections from all the characters …. the voices fit the characters well! Great job Mike putting all this together and from that Dave Atkins….
