5 Years of GSP

d20_gray_blackbg_hi_resJuly 22, 2011 – the first episode of Game Store Prophets went live. We had no idea what we were starting. We were a couple of geeks who happened to have served in ministry positions who thought there’d be something in the idea of bringing those two sides of our lives together into one place. Five years after tackling the oliphant in the room, GSP is just part of the work that we do as part of the larger work of InnRoads Ministries. We’ve seen new hosts, had a number of wonderful guests, and connected with people across the world.

While we have no intention of stopping anytime soon, we wanted to do something special to commemorate the occasion. As such, we are planning on recording episode 131 LIVE via our youtube channel. You can find updates and all the appropriate links on the event page we have set up in The Tavern. The recording will be happening at 9:30pm Eastern, 6:30 Pacific time on Wednesday July 13th.

Not only will you be able to see us live, unedited, and in person as much as video will allow – but we’re hoping to spend the bulk of the episode answering your questions. Anything is up for grabs – questions about the podcast, InnRoads, gaming ministry, or even Jeff, Daniel, and myself. We can’t promise we’ll get to all the questions, but we’ll certainly do our best. If you can’t make it to the recording, we’ll be posting the audio at the regularly posting schedule for the podcast.

tshirtWhether you come or not, you can celebrate our five year anniversary and support InnRoads by visiting our newest campaign over at teespring.com. The newest shirt shows a variation of the tag line that we use to close every episode. God is the Game Master, and the GSP logo. If you are one of the Regulars in the Tavern, you’ve seen me post about the shirt already, but, as I post this, this campaign will only be available for one more week. After the 14th, you won’t be able to get them.
