Ahh, summer.  Sunshine, popsicles and games-games and more games!  InnRoads is stepping into vacation time to give you a 4-part series of games where we open up the table to our beloved fans!   From June to September, we’ll be celebrating our community with a different Role Playing system each month.  Here’s the breakdown:

 

Friday, June 3rd | Savage Worlds

Our very own Daniel Fisher will be setting up a good old fashion dungeon crawl scenario with pregen characters for the outing!  He’s a long time fan of the Savage Worlds system and is looking forward to showing off just why it rocks!  Discover the wonders of exploding dice and a system that encourages fast, cinematic play.

Friday, July 15th | Dungeon World

Our next helping of gaming goodness arrives in July. Dungeon World is a narrative driven RPG that encourages players to develop their characters and the world around them in the course of play.  In addition, it dispenses with the “you meet in a tavern” trope by instilling bonds (good or bad) that exist between your characters right at the start of play.  It’s an easy to learn, 2d6 system based on the Apocalypse World Engine.

Jeff Romo will be handling the Game Master duties, providing options for pregen characters and leaving open the door for those experienced with the system to bring their own.

 

 

Friday, August 12th | Stars Without Number

Catapult forward into the distant future as humanity struggles to survive in the cold vacuum. Con Artists, Soldiers and the very rare and gifted Psychic eek out a living and take in the occasional adventure in a game system geared towards a sand box style of play.  While we may be taking this ship out for a One-Shot, perhaps the game, its universe and its potential might call you back for more.

Once again, Jeff Romo will be leading the game and offering up a variety of pregen characters for a quick run among the stars.

 

 

September 16th | Dungeons & Dragons 5e

What series of one-shots could claim variation without including the Big Dog?  September brings us D&D and the potential of mayhem in a world first traveled by the “Short Squad” who were introduced in IRP’s debut Actual Play.  What mysteries await you in the city of Melvaunt?  Just how will Sylas, Kindrik and Baerd’s actions impact the fortunes of this new party of adventurers?

Jeff will take up the reins here with a set of pregen characters available for use.

 

 

Get in on the Game!

While one or all of the above titles might be new to you, don’t be alarmed!  There will be a caring Game Master available to handle the rules and any variations on learning curves.  This event is about getting folks together around the virtual table and making friends. Each game with the exception of Savage Worlds will be conducted via Google Hangouts. For Savage Worlds, there is the possibility that Daniel will be making that game happen via Fantasy Grounds.

What do I need?

• Access to a solid internet connection
• A serviceable camera and microphone for communication
• Access to Google Hangouts
• That’s it for now! We’ll get you set up with everything else once you’re on board to play

How do I Sign Up?

Sign ups are already under way for Daniel’s Savage Worlds game, so get on over to the Tavern or contact him via the below listed points of contact.  For the other games, you can also sign up for a spot as soon as you’re ready.  Depending upon the demand, there may be a randomized drawing to finalize player spots.  There will be a bombardment of notifications via the Tavern on Facebook that will include as many opportunities to sign up as can be managed. So be on the lookout!
