A Call for Contributors

We like to think that the team here at InnRoads covers a variety of fandoms, game styles, and gaming experiences. However, we cannot be everywhere and cannot play everything. As the tabletop hobby spreads out like a great web of meeples, dice, boffers, and minis, we want to make sure that every gamer has a voice on the site. And what better way is there to ensure that every sort of gamer has  voice than to allow every sort of gamer an opportunity to speak? In Romans 12, Paul writes about the well known ‘many members, but one body’ metaphor. We have a similar view of this site’s content. You are part of what we are doing here. More importantly, we hope you see yourself as a participant in what God is trying to do here.

We want to encourage those who come to the site to contribute their experiences and interactions with tabletop gaming. We would love to see articles, videos, podcasts, artwork, photography, and stuff we cannot even think of yet flowing to the site from the four corners of the globe.

If you’d like to contribute in some way to the site, please send us an email to contact@innroadsministries.com that provides us with a bit about you and a brief summary of what you’d like to write/record for the site. We recommend you send us your idea before you put in the effort of completing the submission.

We cannot promise that every submission will definitely be used. All submissions from new contributors must be approved by the InnRoads team. We reserve the right to say that a piece is not right for the site or suggest editorial comments.

We will always be open for general submissions, but we will also be updating this post with topics we are particularly interested in. These can be related to specific events and games, or simply may be topics that fall outside of the team’s own experiences.

We are currently looking for:

-Stories of how gaming has impacted your faith or brought people together
-First impressions of games designed to introduce new players to great games
-Reflections on the connection between faith and gaming
-Game variants and/or creative ways to use games outside their specs.

Reflect on the game, reflect on God, connect to others.

If you’ve got an idea how you can fit with any of those three, send in your pitch today to contact@innroadsministries.com
